Amapi 3D is strongest as a modeling
application, and is especially popular as the application used to create
models for 3D Studio MAX, Electric Image and other animation and rendering
platforms. But what about rendering?
We've included some very cool rendering capability in Amapi for two
reasons. First, even if you use Amapi 3D to create models for other
animation and rendering platforms, the Amapi renderer lets you "preview"
your model with surface properties. This shortens the work cycle
and helps you get your projects done sooner.
Also, many Amapi 3D users don't have $1,000-$20,000 to spend on
the hardware and software required for Strata, MAX or Softimage. So Amapi
3D is a great solution for the rest of us! Use Amapi 3D at home,
school and work!

Shader 3D Texturing
Render now in Amapi 3.03 with an extended Phong texture shaded with
total control over Ambient, Diffuse, Specular and Transparency parameters.
Multi-Layer Shaders
The unlimited number of layers gives you total control over texture
creation by adding textures such as Bump or 3D noise. More than 20 pre-defined
textures give you endless possibilities for creating shaders. And you can
easily add your own.
